Prior to working in the health and wellness field, Luz spent over twenty-five years in the education field as a Spanish teacher, first in Lima, Perú for 10 years and then in NJ for an additional 15 years. Luz presented on Perú with a colleague at an AATSP conference and served on the Executive Council of the AATSP for a term. While teaching, Luz opened the doors to Luz Reiki Wellness Center LLC in 2011. It was in 2015 that she decided to leave teaching and dedicate her life full-time to Health and Wellness. She was originally brought into the world Health and Wellness when she read a book titled “Embraced by The Light”. The book triggered something within her that then lead her to meditate, find Reiki, A Course in Miracles, Bio-decoding, PNL and much more that lead to the well-rounded knowledge that Luz currently has.  This ultimately led to the founding of Reiki Conscious Transmutation.
